  Assumption Catholic Church, located near St. Joseph's Hospital, is St. Paul's oldest existing Catholic Church. It's great for a visit, for Mass, or simply to pray. You'll like the history and the artwork of the Church.

  The immigrants whose fatherlands Church gave them a connection of home and you can sense their pride inside and out was clearly reinspired here. Will have to check Historical Societies archives for stories. Must have been a mass of spires around in 1800's due to the language barriers and fluent priests availability.

  Rude very rude!!!! I had a friend of mine's drive me to the church so I can pray because I was going through some trouble times a lady came out and told her that she had to leave even though she explain to her that she was waiting for me because I was in inside when I came out she was threatening to call the cops and I was trying to explain to her how I was just praying she didn't believe me and I told her she could go inside and ask the people that were there she said I will this was the worst experience I've ever had going to a church I don't recommend this place to no one and this is supposed to be a place of God what a joke.... but if I told her I just made $1000 donation she would have welcome me with open arms!!! It's actions like this is why people lose their faith in the church.

  As noted it's the oldest Catholic church in Saint Paul Mn. The clergy and staff are very helpful, friendly, kind, and caring. After visiting several churches in the area and going back to the family church in Osseo, I found that Church of the Assumption is what I feel is my home church.
